President of Oghe Social Development Association (OSDA), Chief Gerald Aniamalu, on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, laid his mother, Mrs. Caroline Aniamalu to rest at their country home, Amankwo Imezi Oghe in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State.
Aged, 77, Mrs. Aniamalu, a community leader, died two weeks ago after a brief illness.
Parish priest of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church Rev. Fr. Josephat Nwatu, at the funeral mass, described the deceased as a devout Catholic and prayed for the repose of her soul.
The burial attracted friends, well wishers and relations who extolled the virtues of Mrs. Caroline Aniamalu during her earthly life.
Chief Aniamalu described his mother as epitome of womanhood who she lived worthy life of emulation.
“What I am today is because of my mother; she made me to believe in myself.
“My mother embodied everything you can find in any women – she was caring, not only to us her children but everybody who came in contact with her.
“She was compassionate, someone who always feel the pains of other people.
“My prayer is that God will grant her soul eternal rest,” he prayed.
Caroline was born into the family of royal family of Okamkpa of Iwello, also in Ezeagu Local Government Area.
