Members representing Ezeagu/Udi federal constituency of Enugu State in the National Assembly Sunday Umeha, has assured members of his constituents that he will prioritise their welfare through legislative action.
Umeha, Deputy Chairman of House of Representatives Committee on Judiciary, in his Easter message, told them that he is aware of the hardship of hunger, insecurity, and unemployment, they were facing, and assured them of his unwavering commitment to addressing these challenges.
He emphasised the importance of Easter, which he said, symbolises hope, redemption, and spiritual renewal for Christians worldwide.
The lawmaker underscored the importance of love, peace, and empathy in fostering unity and compassion within society, and urged the citizens to embrace these virtues and extend kindness and understanding to one another, particularly in the face of ongoing socioeconomic challenges.
He urged members of his constituents to remain hopeful and steadfast in their pursuit of a brighter future, buoyed by the promise of victory over adversity.
According to him, despite the prevailing difficulties, there is still hope in the horizon, drawing parallels between the symbolic rolling away of the stone from Christ’s tomb and the eventual overcoming of socioeconomic adversities.
“Let the celebration be filled with the illuminating spirit of Christ’s resurrection and the promise of renewal and triumph over life’s challenges,” he added.
